More like protection to 4" for the start and some 3" stuff later on. This one is kind of a junker. Start is sorta cool and you pass a baby roof to the left with good pro. Then the rock goes from bad to worse. Shimmy up to where you can move left into the giant hollow flake. It might actually rip off the wall, but I slung the top of it anyway. Not sure why it is 5.9 heading out left since all the climbing below is harder than the flake above. Grovel on up and eventually you'll see some bolt chains out left about 20 feet. I clipped them and then came back over to the top of the climb to belay from a stance. It's a pile, but hey, you hiked all the way up here to do it, right? Oct 9, 2012
