This is a traverse inside the cave at castle rock. Start on the far left side and move up and right over the boulder, transitioning lower after 6 feet to the switch moves across the back of the cave. Finish by moving up on jugs to the top of the roof.

left side of the cave, the route moves along about 4 feet above the boulder on the left across a blank wall

Seems highly unlikely to me that such an obvious line wasn't climbed until 2005. Jun 20, 2013

This is in the 1988 Jensen Bay Area guidebook...

It is possible to traverse from the left side of the little cave left of Waimea Arete all the way around Castle Rock to the rock adjacent to Duct Tape. I never linked the entire thing in one go, but it would be one monster V3/4 traverse... Feb 4, 2018

I usually do this from right to left. If you start from the right outside of the cave you can start with a fun heel hook and then you can either end on the boulder on the left end of the cave or make it more difficult by avoiding it and popping back out of the cave on the left side. It's definitely super fun and everyone I show it to really likes it. Great problem to try without pads when you want to climb but don't want to set up another route. Aug 6, 2018
