"Freezer Burn" is one of the longer climbs immediately to the right of "Cold Storage". It looks like it would form up as a two-tiered pitch.

It is immediately right of Cold Storage.

Stubbie ice screws. You can walk off to the left.

"Cold Storage" was in good shape on 28 Jan 07. However, the 2 lines to the right of it (one of them is "Freezer Burn", the other is... ???) were thin. Jan 30, 2007
Another route that Benny Bach and I did the probable FA on in the mid-1990s. Cam Burns (camburns@rof.net). Apr 14, 2008

These routes (Cold Storage as well) see very little traffic, and as a result it's unlikely there will be much of a bootpack to get you to the climb. Expect an approach after reaching Loch Vale to still possibly take 1.5 to 2 hours or more. Both routes are very similar and offer around 25 to 30 feet of dead vertical ice with lower angle ice above them. Those seeking solitude will find it here. Mar 8, 2015
