Description

This would be a 4 star route, if the climbing did not degrade on "Check Your Head". Follow very thin moves along a crack system to a roof finish that joins "Check Your Head" 5.10b/c.

Location

It is a direct start to Check Your Head....

Protection

5 bolts to the finish on Head....

My favorite on the Poudre Face for sure. The route is clean and solid. 5.11 all the way up pass 4th bolt to a very awesome no hands rest. Personally, I found the top to be a bit harder, maybe because I was pumped? But I also accidentally went way right, so I had to do a weird traverse back left. Be careful to not go too far off right, because this shares the same anchors with the 5.10 on the left.

This is more sustain than Flail, which is another 5.11 nearby, but I thought that this was easier because the holds are so chalked up and easily identified. Dec 14, 2014

Probably the best climb on the main (south) face at the Palace. Thoughtful and interesting climbing, lock-off moves on crimps for the crux around the 4th bolt. Apr 21, 2014

Best rock we saw at the Palace. Too bad it's not longer! Oct 31, 2010
Solid .11b moves all the way to the 4th bolt, which left me pumped for the rest of the climb. Oct 28, 2008
