Access Issue: Red Rock RAIN AND WET ROCK: The sandstone is fragile and is very easily damaged when wet. Details

Description

A spectacular line that lies about 15' left of Marshall Amp- a powerful start leads to fun and varied climbing above. Stick clipping the first bolt may be a good idea if this is at your limit!

Location

Just left of Marshall Amp- the obvious horn at head height is the starting hold.

Protection

9 bolts/anchors

Climbed this route again yesterday, and .11d it is not. Marshall Amp is harder, imho. This route is .11a or so- maybe .11b if you're feeling generous! Dec 6, 2009

Guidebook gave this one 11d. It felt way soft. Definitely easier than Marshall Amp. Dec 4, 2015
1/5/2017 ....The Southen Neveda Climbers Coalition with support from ASCA preformed some route maintenance on The Deluxe. Both of the anchor bolts were replaced with Fixe SS 3/8 x 6 1/2 Glue-In Bolts and then equipped with new quicklinks and rap rings. Jan 5, 2017
