Description

A fun steep climb on positive holds makes this a fun route to do if in the area. Well-thought-out bolt placements that are not scary or overbolted. Pretty solid jugs.

Location

Located on the northwest side of Sunlight Rock, short boulder hopping and you're there. Walk off to climber's right.

Protection

Three bolts (3/8"), natural anchor (sling a boulder) up top.

This is a very good climb, rare for JT in that there are lots of big incut holds. The 5.9 (Gordon 5.8) crux at the top is steep and somewhat reachy. May 5, 2008

Engaging climbing on mostly solid holds to a definite crux over a bulge on thin edges and knobs going to the 3rd bolt.

Additional pro can be placed on this before the 1st bolt (3" piece in a horizontal) and a just below the 2nd bolt (1/2" piece in a horizontal). Tie off a large block for the anchor as noted and an easy downclimb not walk-off to the climber's right down a gully/widecrack. Jan 11, 2010
