Description

This is cone shaped ice fall. Thin at the top and often very thick at the bottom.

Location

At mile marker 2.8 take the dirt road and drive up the road as far as you can, hike the rest of the way up into the canyon. The ice can often be seen from the road in just the right place. If you have to hike from the road its about 20 min walk to the ice.

Protection

Ice Screws. Rappel from the trees above.

You can set up a TR on this one by hiking up to climber's left. There is a two-bolt anchor on a boulder at the top. It requires two ropes. Dec 18, 2006

Excellent, sustained climb. A 60m reaches the ground, barely.

I can't ever see this even coming close to WI4 conditions. When we did it it was FAT and still had 60ft of vertical ice. Feb 21, 2010
