RAIN, WET ROCK and RAPTOR CLOSURES: The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Also please ask and be aware of Raptor Closures in areas such as CAT WALL and RESERVOIR WALL in Indian Creek Details

Description

Splitter fingers to a wavy corner.

Location

I recently went up and refound this route. Its to the left of Skraps. Find it by gaining a ledge above the trail not long after passing under Skraps, Slings and Arrows, and Divide and Conquer. Sparkling Prom Date is up there, too. The route is on the right end of the the large ledge terrace, right of Prom Date, starting at the base of a ramp. There is a plaque.

Protection

One of these days, I'll repeat this and update the info to something useful. I didn't really "get" Mountain Project when I originally posted this. And now the brain cells with the information have long been lost to the PBR and Knob Creek. Apr 1, 2015

No, its farther left. My old description, "directly between Spark it Up Sparky and Spark of the Tempest", while accurate in some sense, was utterly useless. I improved the location info above after refinding the route- which took me about 20 minutes Nov 21, 2013

I am assuming this climb is the same as what was added as jump start. The description in the book doesn't seem quite right, but there is no other climb in the area that matches that description. This was one of my favorite climbs I've done at the Creek. It has some really fun moves at the bottom, some good rests and a fun ring lock or lay back sprint to the anchors. Oct 21, 2013
