Colorado > San Luis Valley > Penitente Canyon > Penitente - Entrance…

At one time this was a trad climb, now the crack is filled with moss and bushes. It is not a good route.

The short crack with a bush growing out of it on the "Colors Wall".

Thin stuff. There is no anchor, but you can use "Color Blind's" anchor to the right.

[Hide Comment] This is still a trad route with challenging moves and pro. Not as dirty as the description leads you to believe. The crux is the exit move over the bush. Bring a #5 Camalot for the top. Jun 1, 2009

[Hide Comment] Ball nuts/offset nuts worked really well in the thin crack! Don't let the bush deter you, my partner slung it and whipped. Bomber! If you follow the crack to the top, there's a great belay off the tree. Jun 25, 2019
