Enchilada A La Carte

5.12a, Sport, 50 ft,  Avg: 2.4 from 17 votes
FA: unknown
Oregon > Portland & The… > Rat Cave

This route provides access to one of the rat caves best routes (Shitfire). Begin up a short but powerful overhang using a hidden undercling (crux), then head left across a small channel; roughly 5.11- climbing to the midway anchors.

To do Full Enchilada (5.12b/c extension), once at the chains, traverse left to a draw, and then head straight up to a high clip on an extended draw, then pull a tricky and powerful single move on an almost non-existent hold, and finish out.

[Hide Comment] Great route with a fun crux sequence, and then jug haul to the anchor. May 19, 2015

[Hide Comment] 10/28/2016 Left Hand Gaston hold immediately to the Left of the 3rd bolt came off today. It had previously been glued back in place once before (we left it on the boulder at the base of the climb). Furthermore, I don't think this hold is make or break, still feels 12a. Also, I gave this climb 4 stars to increase the average to 3 since it fully deserves 3 stars. Oct 28, 2016
