Lost Sailor goes up the wide dihedral left of Zig Zag. There are many toprope variations to 10+ on the left wall of the dihedral. Walk off right to vista trail.

Lost Sailor is the prominent dihedral with large crack to the left of Zig Zag. Easily visible from the Wedding Rock parking area.

Medium to large crack pro. gear anchor.

I am a little confused about Lost Sailor. Does it go up the dihedral itself or the left wall? The dihedral seems to be filled with dirt and the left wall seems to be top rope only. Can anyone fill me in? Jul 27, 2014

What I assumed to be Lost Sailor starts on a thin seam (like #0 TCU) ~15 feet right of Zig Zag Crack, goes through an unprotected but cruiser face section, and finishes up the hand to widening crack just left of the top of Zig Zag.

Actually pretty fun. Didn't strike me as much of a dihedral. It's kind of a one move wonder, pulling a small bulge at the beginning of the hand crack. But Humboldt trad climbers have to take what they can get. Nov 28, 2014
Lurker, I've done that route you're describing, that is a really good one. Although I am confused since the description seems to be describing different spots, either the one you described or the dihedral around the corner (listed in the 1974 guide). I'm trying to make the guide accurate, but official descriptions are quite unclear. Oct 28, 2015
