Access Issue: Working Timberland Details
April 19, 2017: Weekday access to the Gold Bar boulders has now reopened following a temporary closure to ensure public safety during harvest activities associated with the Dyno timber sale. In partnership with Access Fund and Washington Climbers Coalition, DNR preserved access to much of the road network hikers and climbers use to access the Gold Bar boulders. Short, blocky, sloping arete. Start matched on big blocky hold and go up to the pinch, bring you feet up and head for the top. Looks easier than it is.
About 30 meters above the Obelisk boulder and 10-15 meters to the east. Directly below Jer-Bears Hug. Route faces west.
