BLM Managed Lands at Castle Rocks PERMANENTLY CLOSED TO CLIMBING!! Castle Rocks State Park lands are OPEN TO CLIMBING Details

Lots of hard climbing. Follow the nice diagonalling hand crack on the west face that starts about 60' right of 'iron cross'. Move toward a roof just to the right of the arete and step down and join 'iron cross'. The step across places you several feet above a blue/green alien size piece - hence the pg-13 rating. Belay on the face to the left of the arete and get ready for the crux on 'iron cross'.

Left side of the west face just before the gully that leads to 'Figure 4'. See photo. This line is shown as 'B' on the Chamber of Secrets in the guidebook.

Nuts, Aliens, cams to #3.
