This is a large, left-facing flake, with chimneying and some large face holds. I've seen a number of people (including my father - age 67 at the time) do this as their first rock climb. You can easily set up a toprope on it.

[Simpatico is] technically on the west face, but at the south end of the formation where the first parking is on the right as one enters Trashcan Rocks. If you get out of your car here, facing the formation you'll walk left and barely around the corner. The first of the alcoves is where this gem is found, before Cranny.

As an inexperienced trad leader, I thought this was an enjoyable climb to practice my skills on. Couldn't find any way to walk off, so we left webbing and rapped off. Oct 25, 2013

To get down you crawl up between some boulders, run up a little slab, and then cross the entire formation to the north end for the normal trashcan descent. Apr 17, 2016
