I led this on Monday and didn't consider it "contrived" at all. I wasn't able to use the other wall until well after the majority of the crack was climbed. I'm 5'9" and perhaps a taller climber could reach it much earlier. I thought this was pretty stout for the grade. I pushed a #6 camalot ahead of me to protect the initial 25 feet or so. Nov 14, 2013
