April 19, 2017: Weekday access to the Gold Bar boulders has now reopened following a temporary closure to ensure public safety during harvest activities associated with the Dyno timber sale. In partnership with Access Fund and Washington Climbers Coalition, DNR preserved access to much of the road network hikers and climbers use to access the Gold Bar boulders. Sitdown start at lowest left hand side of the crack. Head up and to the right. DO NOT USE the big offset block for feet or hands. Follow crack the whole way up.
From western parking lot head east on main trail. At the last big boulder in the clear cut head up about 100 meters. On boulder just east of "Karen's Stuck home with the Kids" problem.
