Access Issue: Working Timberland Details
April 19, 2017: Weekday access to the Gold Bar boulders has now reopened following a temporary closure to ensure public safety during harvest activities associated with the Dyno timber sale. In partnership with Access Fund and Washington Climbers Coalition, DNR preserved access to much of the road network hikers and climbers use to access the Gold Bar boulders. Start at lowest matching hold and head up to high large hold. Very balancy and sequency.
From western parking lot head east on main trail. One you past the last large boulder in clear cut head up about 100 meters. On a large boulder about 15 feet high and faces to the east.
