Description

By many accounts, the best route at MST.

Start, down low on the left. Turn the arete to the right and climb the right side of the arete to a steep face. Awkward side-pulling marks the pumpy crux of the route at mid-height.

Protection

5 bolts. 2 bolt anchor with chains.

You're right. That bolt is in some bad rock, if you tap the surrounding rock with a hammer you'll hear how hollow it is. I scratched the X there to warn anyone who wishes to lead it.. Jun 5, 2016

Did this route yesterday and it was fun. One thing to note is 2nd bolt is marked with an X due to it being placed apparently on a somewhat hallow rock. Taking a big fall on 2nd bolt seemed sketch. Still worth trying the climb! Mar 25, 2016
