A really pleasant climb. Perfect for a first lead or first climb on TR. Route wanders up a face, then arete, very straight foreward.

Far right on the Assassin wall. In an open book type, semi-dihedral feature.

Well bolted to anchors.

Simple route that makes a great warm up. If you climb the face all the way up it'll quickly switch from a 5.6 to a 5.10. Or just use the arete and save that valuable energy for a real climb. Jul 26, 2008
This was my first lead (~summer 2012) and, to echo the route description, was excellent for that. Beautiful setting, the arĂȘte felt airy and exposed but provides plenty of security for a new climber. During the climb a summer thunderstorm started to roll in and I was buffeted by some nice wind gusts.

Great way to introduce a sport climber to the alpine (or to get a skier hooked on climbing, in my case) Jun 5, 2017
