Description

Incredible line straight up the center of the face. Follow small edges up to a slight traverse left to gain the flake. Layback up the flake and make a long, strenuous move back onto the face. Another hard move guards the finishing slab. Sustained. Try not to think about Bachar soloing it while your climbing.

Removed this bolt and hanger from the crux and replaced it with a new 1/2" bolt and hanger awhile back. Check out the bend in the old hanger.

[Hide Comment] I did think about Bachar soloing while I redpointed. It didn't help.

But I still redpointed!

Awesome route. A must-do. Aug 16, 2010

[Hide Comment] Two cruxes -- one off the flake (left hand side pull, feet up, then launch up and right) and off flat jug a few moves higher. Great route. Jun 22, 2016

[Hide Comment] It's funny, I actually think Darshan makes this feel like 5.11+/12-. I'll round up, but this is possibly the mellowest 12b I've climbed. Oct 26, 2016

[Hide Comment] This route makes flossing seem like 5.8 and getting up early for work seem like 5.14. Harder than growing tomatoes but way easier than talking politics with my grandma. Probably in the 5.something'ish grade range? Nov 10, 2020
[Hide Comment] It’s surprising this awesome route is still as much intact as it was the first time I climbed it over 20 years ago! Maybe only a couple holds have gotten smaller/more hollow… Mar 16, 2022
