Description

A short low-angled slab leads up to a nice roof problem. Easier for tall people. This short route feels like a boulder problem in the V0+ range. Failure only causes a fun clean fall, so go for it.

This route is called "Unknown" (route #2) in Dennis Jackson's guidebook and is given a rating of 5.11.

Location

30 ft to the right of Duck soup.

Protection

2 bolts, one mid-way up the slab, and the other at the lip of the roof. 2-bolt anchor above the roof.

Great short and fun route! Some willows and cactus have grown on the base of the climb, so watch for spines.

It looks harder than what it is. I don't think you need to be tall (check) or have a freakishly high ape index (check) to enjoy this one. Nov 10, 2013
