Description

Head up the obvious arete on the right side of the main face. Stick to the arete. You may have to traverse in if the tide isn't low enough to start in the crack.

[Hide Comment] How do you get off? I am assuming there are bolts or do you Tyrolean traverse mountainproject.com/v/inter… off :) Oct 11, 2007
[Hide Comment] No bolts on top of this route. After clipping the RegRoute anchor, I traversed to the arete after and placed two #0.3 cams in a horizontal. Looks like a #1 would fit in a slot at the very top, but I didn't bring one. I began to downclimb the route and pulled off a chunk of rock roughly the size of a cinder block. It split in half - half fell straight into the water, the other half landed on my thigh and I pushed it off into the water. This was above the halfway point. I wasn't expecting to do that much cleaning so I went back up and rap'd off the anchor. Not trying to scare anyone off, but I wouldn't recommend leading this route. If you climb it, downclimb on TR and trundle a bit. Hopefully it will clean up. Be careful out there! Jun 3, 2021

[Hide Comment] Jason, you said no anchor, but then said you rapped off the anchor. So was there an anchor? We Put in two titanium rap bolts. Or did you leave your cams? Jun 19, 2021

My comment needs some clarification. There is a good fixed anchor (3 bolts, 2 with rap rings) at the top of RegularRoute. I assumed PoseidonAdventure follows the arete all the way to the top - which seems possible but would advise placing a couple directional pieces. You could alternatively finish by traversing left to the RegularRoute anchor below the lip and top out there. I posted pics of the RegularRoute anchor on the route page last month. I definitely didn't leave anything behind ;) Jun 21, 2021
