Description

Quickdraw Rustler is the second route from the left viewed from Sun Deck Ledge. Scramble up to powerful opening moves on less than stellar rock. A continuous undercling sequence leads to a swath of perfect, fine-grained rock. A superb crux sequence off the obvious bucket and layback flake leads to several amazing holds on the bulge. Easier moves lead to the anchor.

If the rock in the upper region ran to the bottom, this route would be three stars.

Location

See the description for Sheep Buggerer to access Sun Deck Ledge.

Protection

Half dozen draws to the anchors.

Good route, just wish it were longer. Felt pretty soft for a 12a though. Sep 6, 2017

i thought this was a really fun route. the only thing it lacks is length, and maybe the start is a little mungy. very well bolted, although the final clip might be reachy if you are short, but you might end up with better feet. the steep undercling/sidepull buckets are a lot of fun. Jul 23, 2012
