Chimney

5.3, Trad, 35 ft (11 m),  Avg: 1.6 from 47 votes
FA: unknown
California > San Diego County > N San Diego County > Dixon Lake > Y Crack Area

Description

Right and around the corner of the Y crack is this obvious chimney. It is often done as a solo, but can be set-up as a TR as bolts/rings are at the top. The crux involves grabbing a horn and stepping out for an exposed move to gain the top. Fun

Protection

A few nuts, with bolts for anchor/rap

[Hide Comment] My first rope solo here today. Would have been easier to free solo it but you have to start somewhere. Next up is the Y-Crack. Jul 17, 2019
