[Hide Comment] This is an engaging climb for a 5.8 leader! Felt a bit hard for the grade and wasn't super thoughtfully bolted for a 5.8. Jul 5, 2017

[Hide Comment] Groundfall potential getting to the first and second clips, so either a stickclip or small-medium trad gear could be used to increase security. Jul 27, 2017

[Hide Comment] There's groundfall potential getting to all first clips, even ones you can reach from the ground. 100% disagree on the statement of groundfall potential between 1 and 2 unless you really try hard, then maybe. I think the grades are on point, and I appreciate the style in which it was bolted and the two to the right as well. One could prob get gear if they don't feel comfortable with the opening moves as is. Great route. Jun 23, 2018
[Hide Comment] Great route that suffers from "Lime Disease"--AKA--bad bolting. Here is an equation comparing other nearby routes in order of difficulty:

Honeymoon is Over - 5.5 ft per bolt - 5.13c.
Natural Born Drilla - 6.5 ft per bolt - 5.12c.
Drill For The Thrill - 6.5 ft per bolt - -5.12b.
The 16 Men Of Tain - 8 ft per bolt - 5.11a.
Old School - 8.8 ft per bolt - 5.9.
Snail Trail - 11.1 ft per bolt - 5.8.
Drilla From Manila - 12 ft per bolt - 5.7.

At this rate of bolting, how are the beginning climbers supposed to survive to reach the safe grade of 5.12??? Malevolent Elitist Bolting at its best. Jul 15, 2018

[Hide Comment] Dan, you’re forgetting that the anchor counts as a bolt. So, Old School is 7.5’ per bolt, Snail Trail is 10’ per, and Drilla from Manila is 10.5’ per. And if the first bolt is higher than those averages, the averages do down even more. Nov 18, 2019

[Hide Comment] High first bolt, so we clipped it from a nearby route. Sep 16, 2021
