Connecticut > Central Valley > Ragged Mountain > Main Cliff

Description

From under the roof at the start of Subline, work right to a corner and then step left to a crack. At its top (only about 25' up), traverse right to easier ground leading to the top.

The start of this pitch has puzzled many a climber. You can climb straight up to the corner or chimney right. Once you get established in the corner it's not over yet - the next 20' are pumpy but well protected.

Location

Same as Subline

Protection

Standard Traprock rack

[Hide Comment] the photo and description listed here are for bombay direct, not bombay.

bombay is about 8-10 feet to the right of Subline, starts in the corner with a laybacking/offwidth crack, goes up for about 4 more feet, then traverses over to the left, and connects with bombay direct. Apr 29, 2013
