DescriptionInner Reaches climbs a wonderful, right-leaning crack system with a surprise hand crack hidden inside. It is located more on the eastern end of the north side of the Turkey Tail and feels much more user friendly than some other routes of a similar grade at the Turkey Rock area. Being one of the more obvious and aesthetic routes on the north side of the Tail, it is relatively easy to find. As of this writing, there was also a large cairn of rocks at its base. It also has what is probably one of the best belay spots on the north side as well.
At the top of the crack, make a wonderful mantel, and then step right to clip some fixed slings. We climbed the route using a 70 meter rope, but I think you could lower off from a 60 meter rope as well. Enjoy. This is one of the nicest (though shorter) routes of this grade at Turkey Rock.
