Description

Another obscure yet worthy Lumpy outting.Take the vertical crack on the right side of the Manhole Cover chimney.Always interesting;from the hanging flake start to its armbar finish. Belay nicely atop the Manhole Cover. There is always excellent protection.Scramble down inback of a giant flake and rap from stance with fixed slings atop Crack Of No Return.A crusty direct start is harder 5.10R. Originaly rated 5.9,It is a bit harder than Inside Stright...

[Hide Comment] A BD #4 doesn't offer much protection for the armbar finish. If that is all you have, then you will need to run it out for about 10-15 feet of meat and potatoes offwidthing. Or you can do what I did and make a pretty wild traverse out left onto the massive Manhole Cover chockstone. I didn't have a 4.5 cam, but I am skeptical that would offer much more. It looked to me like you need a #5 or #6 to sew it up. Oct 5, 2020
