Description

Drive 5.5 miles west of the Beige Siphon Tube to a paved pullout on the north side of the road. Hike 30 yards uphill to the slab.

This is De Gueo, 5.10-. Cling, edge, and smear up the left blunt arete to the upper face. Edge past two nickle thick smears, and reach long for the good hold.

Protection

4 bolts to a two bolt anchor with a link and a biner-like snaplink.

Meh, the crux seemed to be the slab above the second (or was it third) bolt. Pretty blank there but with a good high foot. I wasn't brave enough to risk falling on slab.

I ended up leading the route next door (climber's right) and then resetting the anchor so I could do this one. Mar 29, 2015
