Colorado > Gunnison > Hartman Rocks > Beginner's Slab

Description

This is a fun, little, sport route that follows the quartz crystals on the left side of the rock. This is a great beginner's climb with a good stance to set up the anchors at the top.

Protection

Three bolts to chain anchors.

[Hide Comment] Very easy to locate, the vertical quartz crystal vein that is about an 2 inches wide, easy moves the whole way up, nothing harder then a 5.7. Jul 16, 2003

[Hide Comment] Very easy to locate on Beginner Slab. It is the farthest left of the bolted lines. As of 6/20/20, the climb still only has 2 bolts. Nothing really problematic there, the two remaining bolts protect the “crux” of this route. Jun 21, 2020

[Hide Comment] Interesting climb up a quartz crystal seam. Would love a couple extra bolts to prevent a groundfall from an accidental slip. Sep 26, 2022
