Description

Entrance Slab is actually 2-3 miles east of Monitor Rock. From Twin Lakes, drive about 1/2 mile west on Hwy 82. Just past a new house being built on the right (as of July, 2002) is a sweeping right turn. Turn off right on a narrow dirt road just after going around this bend. It's right at mile marker 77. See Aspen climbing guides' website for more detailed access beta and a map.( aspenclimbingguides.com/fav…). The slab is right off the dirt road, 20 yards from the highway, on the right. Park 100 yards up the road.

Entrance Slab Right is a 4 bolt route, good for teaching beginners to lead on. A nice slab route to chains anchor. TR the arete to the right for another nice 5.6. Or solo it - it's not that hard.

Protection

4 bolts.
