Description

Shortly before the second drainage coming in from the right is a pair of buttresses with a dark channel between them. Darla climbs the edge of the right of the two buttresses. Excellent and interesting climbing with good continuity leads to a complex sequence that will dump the climber rightward to run the arete for a short way. This is followed by a very interesting and technical slab with as much exposure as you can get on a short cliff. Darla is a fine line and well worth the run. Good continuity, good stone, and excellent pro.

Protection

Half a dozen draws and a rope.

When approaching from the canyon mouth, this climb is about 50 feet up the trail from where the trail rises up and around two large junipers on the canyon floor. Look for an arete-like feature going up for 3 bolts ending below a bulge with a few chalked-up undercling-like holes out right. Super fun and sustained right off the deck. Makes the most out of every inch up over the bulge- fun! Apr 18, 2011
