Purple and Green

Colorado > Rifle > Rifle Mtn Park > Anti-Phil Wall

Description

This is a great route and probably the funnest of its grade in the Canyon. It climbs straight up the aesthetic grey wall above the water mound past (upstream of) the anti-Phil proper. This is to the climber's right of all the routes (The Anti-Phil, Eurotrash, etc.) in the center sector.

Boulder up past ledgy climbing and clip a couple of bolts. A cryptic, powerful crux leads to ultra-pleasant face climbing on good flat and incut edges. Treat the flake system below the anchors with care.

8 quickdraws.

[Hide Comment] This is a very nice 5.10 warm-up if you use the quickdraw at the crux as a handhold. Sep 30, 2004

[Hide Comment] There is a 3 or 4 bolt extension to this that goes at 12a and is called Blue and Black. Apr 20, 2009

[Hide Comment] Maybe this was fun back in the day, but the mandatory, big, flat crux hold around bolt 2 or 3 has as much friction as a car windshield covered in WD-40. Not worth getting on. Jun 25, 2023
