Description

This steep slab route is on the highest spire at the Far Side. Airy exposure and breath taking views make you want to take extra rests on this Mt. St. Helena classic.

This is my favorite climb at the Far Side. The first bolt is a bit off the deck but not too difficult to reach if climbing in from the right rather than from directly below. The rest of the climb is relatively well protected. I think the crux is surmounting a little overhang after the second bolt. Oct 28, 2008

Climbers beware! The rap rings are rusted all the way around, and the bolts (both nuts and screws) are super rusty! Hangers are still good. All three of us survived the rap after enjoying the view, and our heaviest, me, was 200 lbs, so chances are you'll be fine, BUT... Feb 1, 2016

Great route - keeps my attention every time I lead it - from the first bolt to the anchors... Dec 29, 2016
