RAIN AND WET ROCK The sandstone in Red Rocks is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Details

Continue past Sunnyside Crag, enter the drainage of Ice Boxhead up the canyon - look on the right side for two beautiful black cracks about 50 ft above the creek bed. Crack on the right is Drat Crack. 5.8 climbing leads to a natural anchor - slings through the rock.

Standard rack up to #4.

Shares the anchor with Good-Time Charlie. Still has a nut and a threaded plate with various tat. Anchor doesn't inspire much confidence. Be sure to check it well before use. Fun route, protects well, good rock. Use a 70m to get down. Nov 2, 2016
DEFINITELY take a #4 or two... Mar 31, 2014

Low angle, gobbles up gear, short and strenuous crux--a nice little route. May 26, 2011

i was wondering what these routes were lines. We shored up the anchor a bit this past spring with a better knot and reset the stopper. Good stuff! Oct 21, 2005
