Description

Cheap Thrills is a former aid line freed by Pete Cleveland (imagine that). It follows the impressive step face right of Britons Crack.

Also of note is Cheap Swill by Rich Bechler(do Cheap Thrills and at top traverse to right for more hard climbing).

I give the most credit to Dave Erickson who did this as an A3 on tied-off knifeblades, with the intention of doing something that would probably never be freed. Obviously. Oct 3, 2012

Leo, it is awesome to see some one from DL is stepping up to the plate and sending some rad stuff instead of whining about no one leading anything hard at DL. Jason also led Peyote Blues which to me is probably harder than Cheap Thrills. Peace and Fuk-nes Steve S.

Steve- Rubberman is an Eric Z product.

JasonH- nice work! Between this, Acid Rock, Bagatelle the last great lead (and solo) problems from the past are all getting done. Awesome and inspiring to see the progress. Apr 12, 2007

Jason, I was wondering when this would get led. Proud lead man. I am glad to see someone at DL is stepping up to the plate....and then some.

i think this thing use to A3.then pete freed it.later i belayed old bill russell(swilliam)on an aid lead of this,he was takin' so friggin long that without him knowing i tied him off to a tree and hiked to the top of gills nose fer some pic's,he was frekin' when he saw he had no belayer.later we told pete of bill's aid ascent and he was livid saying "russell i'll kill the bastard,he is going to make the climb easier !!!". all said in perfect elmer fudd speak.
