Description

Begin at the base of the west facing overhanging Corrugated Wall and climb past eight bolts on excellent rock to sport anchors. Reachy and powerful moves are encountered between the 6th and 8th bolts. This is yet another classic climb in The Valley Of Kings (4 out of 5 stars)!

Protection

Quickdraws for eight bolts. An optional #3 TCU between the third and fourth bolts. It is also possible to clip a loop at the end of a long runner that extends down from the fourth bolt. Sport anchors are at the top of the route.

Upon review, and a really serious attempt at stalking Ben's comments I've come to the following conclusions:
1. I'm glad that I have better things to do than examine photos ranging from the average to the commonplace.
2. Posting as much as Ben is boring.
3. I seriously wonder what the current disk usage of MP is.
4. You really are never as witty as you think you are on the Interweb.

That is all. Mar 6, 2013

Hey Ben,

I'm impressed you've reached Valley of the Kings in your drive to comment on every photo on MP. I am also glad the interaction between Vern(Vernon) and I(Featherless Peacock) has given you the opportunity to post more than "Great Photo" or some other inanity.

One thing to consider about the comment is that it is quite old; in fact it was posted on climbingjtree.com, and the location of the photos was likely different back then. I do have to admit that while I tend to screw up left and write , I don't consider myself to have ADHD.

I can't say that I always " know what I'm doing from one moment to the next", but I do have to thank you for bringing this photo to my attention through your comments. The early 2K's were a fun time on CJT. We could make fun of each other via comments and photos and laugh about it the next week when we saw each other. The community was a bit smaller back than and we made quite a few friends by posting here.

Vern really enjoyed that day as I recall.

Excellent route with good moves. The rock below the fourth bolt was too hollow to drill a bolt, which is why that stupid sling is there. Nov 11, 2003
In retrospect, I recognized that I shouldn't have alternated the ropes for each clip but fortunately the wall was so overhanging that a fall up high would not result in any significant abrasion between the two ropes where they were crossing each other. Hey Murf, would you be so kind as to critique my double rope technique for the routes on The Morrissey Crag? May 22, 2003

Vern demonstrates why he needs a refresher course in double rope technique in the photo below. May 22, 2003
