Description

Follow the prominent "staircase" with giant edges on SW side of formation. An easy solo or good choice for introducing beginners to basic movement on rock. Descend off NW side of formation or downclimb route.

Protection

Long webbing and a few pieces if toproping.

A nice easy solo, but not worth the walk out to Morbid Mound. Interestingly, the "stairs" continue all the way across the mound to the other side. Nov 29, 2013

Great for kids and newbies. An interesting bit of geology. The "stairs" appear to be man-made. Nov 13, 2012

My fiancee did this route; good for beginners. Nice walk off the back. Easy to teach anchor building as well at the top. Dec 26, 2006
