Access Issue: Seasonal Raptor Closures Details
Access Issue: RAIN, WET ROCK and RAPTOR CLOSURES: The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Also please ask and be aware of Raptor Closures in areas such as CAT WALL and RESERVOIR WALL in Indian Creek Details

Description

Climb the slab left of science friction, past 9 bolts, with an easy runout to the anchors. Name came from the melanoma knobs you encounter on the route. Less bolts, than the overgraded, over bolted other routes on the sunshine slab. Fun, clean, well protected slabbing..rare for arches.

Protection

9 bolts, to a two bolt anchor. Double rope rap.

Hey Anonymous
Can we talk about the overrated and overbolted other routes at the Sunshine
Wall 'cause I was a coward before you were a coward and I want to go back there
and do all of them. I looked at this route and I'll do it next time I'm loving
the Sunshine. It looked great but if the listed grade and number of bolts listed
is correct it would be apples/oranges to the original route on the wall. Oct 11, 2016
