Description

This is the bolted line to the right of Baba Cool. Make a wild first move that leads up to steep, thin crystal face climbing. A great route of its grade in the area.

[Hide Comment] I think you're right, Brent... I've heard it both ways, but I believe it shows up as "Meat Means Murder" in the guidebook... Oct 7, 2003
[Hide Comment] Thae first assent was done by Rusty Lewis. It was put up by Ian Pressler and Dave Brumbaugh. Thanks Dave Brumbaugh Aug 9, 2004
[Hide Comment] The FA was Rusty Lewis. Ian Pressler and Dave Brumbaugh put the route up but because of the lack of light only got the FA on baba cool. Rusty found our project before we could get back to comlete the FA. Jun 27, 2005

[Hide Comment] Meat is Murder was an album by the Smiths. I stole the name from them. I don't know who is claiming Dave and Ian put up the route but they are sorely mistaken. I thought I did the first ascent as well but Rusty could have aced me out, he did that a lot. The route was originally 11a until that punk Mike Lilygren Ripped off a key hold. Wasn't challenging enough, no doubt. Aug 18, 2005

[Hide Comment] A key hold broke from underneath me on this route in the early 90's. A cube crystal about 3/4" x 3/4" x3/4". It was about 1/2 way up the route. My belayer found the hold. I still have the chalky little sucker and a little scar on my chin. Sep 24, 2011
