Matt slots a cam mid-crux on Double Cross.
Leading Double Cross for the second time in as many weeks. I'm pretty sure this is the way it's most commonly done (and easiest). the first piece of pro you need is right where you hop into the crack about 25 feet up. What a fun climb, and truly easy to protect where needed.
Double Cross in 1980 just below the bulge crux. As I recall, a No. 10 hex fit perfect in the main crack just above the diagonal crack.

Such a fun route!!
Use #4 for first piece of protection in the undercling. Best to use an extended runner to avoid rope drag. Place a 2nd piece of pro before stepping into the crack.
