The first pitch of Costanoan as seen from Power Tools route
Milo (15) just led pitch one with Henry (10) following. We skipped the hanging belay and did pitch 2 and 3 as one long pitch with a 60 and 50 meter rope tied together.
This is how our 60 meter rope looked for the rappel. He downclimbed the tree branch on one of the strands, with only rope drag for protection. We thought it beats bringing two ropes.
Luke belaying from top of P1. Couldn't contain his excitement as he watched me run it out. Good thing its 5.4
The Citadel. Costanoan ascends the left side of the feature.
BD purple just for fun. This thing really does go at 5.2 after the first pitch.
