Photo of White Maiden's Walkaway, with the route drawn on it. You can either start directly behind the tall trees, or left at the smaller tree. The best place for the first belay is at a smaller tree hidden behind the larger one.

An old fixed pin on the White Maidens Walkaway

You can stretch a rope from the P1 Belay to the ledge with bushes in a long 65 meter pitch at ~ 5.7 .. There is a tasty finger crack right at the end, and is a great way to link / pass parties. It is also much more direct than the normal P2 & P3 route.

Great way to finish with a easy but spectacular finish around the right side of roof !

Start of P2, if using alternative P1. Carry straight up the ramp. End of pitch leaves you very close to top of traditional P1.

Alternative start to traditional P1 (lower on the buttress and climber's right). Follow the crack up to where the rock plateaus off and there's a little bowl with a few bush/trees.
