Part 10 of the Painted Bowl walk-off descent: After the chimney downclimb continue down a short distance to reach the final downclimb (or rap) of a highly featured rib. Walk to the "IBM Boulder" and follow the ramps upstream into the drainage.

Gully choices on the eastern side of Solar Slab
Part 2 of the Painted Bowl walk-off descent: Walk/scramble leftward up the ramps, aiming for the red and white striped cliffs that sit below the summit plateau.
Part 3 of the Painted Bowl walk-off descent: Look for the elephant's trunk-like feature. Down and left is the pine tree that marks the top of the gully that drops you into Painted Bowl. As you get closer you'll pass a low, hidden arch.
Part 4 of the Painted Bowl walk-off descent: Pass the pine tree then drop into the gully that accesses Painted Bowl.
Part 5 of the Painted Bowl walk-off descent: Scramble down the gully ramp system. Prolific pockets, cracks, and stemming will aid your descent as it steepens.
Part 6 of the Painted Bowl walk-off descent: After the gully ramp drops you onto talus descend to the mouth of the gully. You'll make your way left to access the next down climb (or optional rap).
Part 7 of the Painted Bowl walk-off descent: After emerging from the gully ramp system, look for a faint trail heading left (possible cairns). You are looking for a set of rap anchors that marks the top of the chimney downclimb.

Part 1 of the Painted Bowl walk-off descent: From the massive boulder at the top of Solar Slab ascend the slanting crack in the headwall above you. At the top either squeeze up the short chimney or make a brief exposed traverse right.
