Stellar last pitch of the right hand bolted climb on the upper great face. First pitch is bolted and the dihedral above takes great gear. It's a finger crack with an awkward exit move at the top of the dihedral. Lee walks it, of course.

Agreed, I just did The Big Steep, and that's P3. Jul 21, 2017
This is NOT 'Tribal Regions'. It is the last pitch of 'The Big Steep'. Oct 8, 2011

It is my understanding that The Big Steep's third pitch goes way right to join the 5.9 corner on the Kor-Northcutt route. The corner in the photo is clearly the more logical final pitch, and a really, really good one at that. It has an awesome position at the top of the wall and offers well-protected, thought-provoking climbing. I thought it felt like 10+ when we did it in July '03. Since learning of its existence in '02 I've referred to it as the Tormalehto Finish only because my buddy, John Tormalehto, was the only one I KNEW OF that had previously done it. It's certainly likely that it had been done before his ascent, but nobody I've spoken with about it knew of another name or ascent. Aug 8, 2007
