Houston Lake from the air, 1995. You can see the campsite and the first half of our group already there.
Interesting formation on Proteus just above camp, sort of "highlighted" by the level of the clouds.
We set up our main cooking / eating tent behind this boulder to protect from NW winds. Upper left, partially shrouded in cloud is the South ridge of Forecastle. The lake is hidden behind the boulder.
If you fly in enough sherry for belfore dinner, wine for dinner and port for after dinner...even the rainy days produce smiles ! (A big, dry "mess" tent also helps)

One of the days it rained in the morning but the afternoon was not that bad...at least in camp. Ian McNaught Davis washes up while Ron Factor and Mt Proteus look on.
