A special place.<br> Not an exhaustive topo by any stretch.
Approx approach path up the slope after the initial ~1/2 mile of flat travel parallel to the road from the parking area. The turn right up the slope is easy to miss. In general look for the large lone pine tree in the middle of the slope. The loose "path" goes to the left of this tree.

This shows the hike up to The Fortress in the middle of winter even though it hit 60 degrees F at the base of the cliff.
