We were across the way on Group Therapy. This looked like a really cool pitch.

The Purblind Pillar route on the Angel Food Wall. Photo taken on 21 Oct 06. Numbered circles show anchor locations described in the route topo. Anchor 1 is a sling setup and Anchor 4 has two bolted hangers. All other anchors must be built with gear.

The route. Note the anchors at top of pitch 5 heads right (not straight up!)

The start of the easy, straightforward descent (walk-off) of Purblind Pillar.

Deb starting the crack of P4. Pretty wide in places!

The 6th pitch. The first bolt is just above the top of the brown patch on the left.

Cool arch near the base of the Purblind Pillar.

View upwards towards pitch 2. If you can’t see the bolt near the skyline about 40 feet above you when looking for an anchor position for pitch 1, keep climbing.

One of the many beautiful views you get when climbing Purblind Pillar.

The face climbing crux on the second pitch. Todd is right where the bolt is located.

Just goofin off at the summit. Very fun climb.

The easy traverse on Pitch 3 to the main pillar.

The "elephant trunk" belay area at the top of pitch 3. The sling in this photo is a 240cm so its...a big hunk or rock! Awesome belay area if you stand to the right of the pass through in the rock.

Growing up but not always feeling older,

We were on Group Therapy and I took this picture of some unknown climbers.
