On hike back- this is the correct Cut-off path directly to stream and cars. Staying on the left trail you'll swing around nearly to the base of the Mescalito.

Melissa coming up Olive Oil. Started in the afternoon after driving straight through to RR, descended painfully in the dark in rock shoes and crawled back up the "gully" to our packs. Quite an adventurous time on our first Red Rock route.
