Google Earth of Odaray There is more snow cover shown here than we encountered in July 1978, the glacier in the upper bowl was bare.
Photo 2 - The upper section of the East Face of the SE Ridge ("Arete") of Odaray from the E Face glacier. Once on the ridge, the difficulties are usually avoided by climbing the west side (opposite what you're viewing) of the ridge.
